Sony FX3 Full-Frame Cinema Camera

The Sony FX3 full-frame cinema camera combines features from the Cinema Line and Alpha series with a compact design. That makes it suitable for single shooters, travel, and use as a perfect B cam. All the imaging features you would expect from a camera in this class are present in the FX3, but it also has a new lightweight, handheld form factor with a streamlined profile and a “cage-free” design that allows you to attach different accessories directly to the camera body.

You can also transfer files via Wi-Fi or a wired USB Type-C connector. Moreover, you can broadcast your material by using the Imaging Edge Webcam app on your computer.

At 24p output, you can capture crisp, detailed images at up to 4K 120p and up to 5x slow motion. Concurrently, XAVC 4K and proxies can be recorded in-camera, and DCI 4K+ in 16-bit raw can be output over HDMI to compatible recorders. All-Intra and Long GOP codecs are available for 4:2:2 10-bit color recording in internal 4K resolution.

Because the FX3 is cage-free, you can mount ¼”-20 compatible accessories directly on the camera or the detachable handle. Which eliminates the need for a camera cage and saves setup and breakdown time. The focus and menu controls, the six assignable buttons, and the clustered record button allow for single-handed operation, freeing up your left hand for lens control or balance responsibilities.
