Sony ECM-M1 Compact Camera-Mount Digital Shotgun Microphone

For content creators who utilize Sony cameras with the Multi Interface Shoe and must switch between creating social media material and interviewing people simultaneously, Sony has developed the ECM-M1, a camera-mount digital shotgun microphone. It has four diamond-patterned capsules and an even more compact form factor than its predecessors. Smart beamforming and inbuilt digital signal processing create clear recordings with the ability to switch between noise-cut and low-cut filters. For the highest level of recording freedom, the superdirectional pickup pattern with front and rear pickup offers eight customizable settings.

Select from eight distinct recording modes, including stereo, using the internal dial control to accommodate various recording situations. Because of the diamond layout of the embedded condensers, the ECM-M1 can record multiple channels at once. And isolate the left, right, rear, or front audio sources.
